My Family is a Blessing in My Life.

Here is a something I put together last night. I was feeling kind of down and stressed and really lonely. I was missing my family all the way back in South Carolina, and I managed to put this together real quick, so here is my video of my family and How it has changed over the years put to the song "Finally Home" by MercyMe.

This is the Start!

Hi! My name is Tony Parrott.

I'm starting this blog so I can put my thoughts into words and share it with everyone, and then also to hear what others have to say.  I kept a journal for two years on my mission, and that was such a huge accomplishment for me. I love going back and reading my experiences and thoughts and just daily activities that I did, but what really got me was how my thoughts transformed into words that perfectly allowed me to invision that whole experience again. I feel that sometimes and in certain things, I can put my thoughts into words on a screen better than vocalizing them. So here it goes. I'm going to first start off by helping y'all get to know me a little better.

I was born August 19, 1990 in Misawa, Japan. I'm adopted into a wonderful family of seven kids, including me and two awesome parents. My dad was stationed over on Misawa AFB, and because my birth mom gave birth to me there it allowed the perfect opportunity for my parents to adopt. I'm the second oldest out of the seven. I'm the oldest boy in the family, I graduated from Camden High School in 2009 in Camden, South Carolina. Not too much time afterwards, I received my mission call to serve from August 2009 to August 2011 in the wonderful California Riverside Mission. I loved every second of it! It was a blast! I came home just for a short amount of time, and about 3 weeks later I drove out to Utah. It's been a rough past 3.5 months since I've been here, but alot of growth has come as well. I'm working fulltime at the Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City and part time at the Hampton Inn in Orem, I'm starting school in about a month at Utah Valley University.

I'm excited to see what the future holds. Just moving forward and taking one step at a time. Although sometimes it's really hard, and sometimes I tend to want to rush things, I'm learning that as I pace myself but keep moving forward, that things will fall into place as they need to be in time. Have I felt like giving up? Of course. This is my first time being "on my own," but when we feel like that, what matters is if we give in and give up or we walk on past and as a result we're much stronger. I feel like I'm in this fine process of learning and progression, afterall... isn't this what life is about? Let's keep this in our minds, (I know I do all the time) Keep Moving: Never Stop Progressing.
